One of the most criminally underrated tapes of 2011 was the self-titled debut of a certain Casino Gardens. Now hot on the heels of the new year, this Ohio native brings us his second release curiously but quite aptly titled Fantasies In Cools Palace. If you enjoyed the feeling that his first tape conjured of being in a room at a beach-side resort circa 1989 with a busted air conditioner, then you’re gonna love Fantasies In Cools Palace.
Album single, “Malibu” continues the fantasy with acid-washed guitars and echoed vocal melodies. Short and sweet, the track gives you a hint at what the rest of the album has to offer. Oh, and did I mention the SLIME LETTERS on the front cover? The album is out now and is being released through Lillerne Tapes.
